Hi, we’re Reid & Robie.
After retiring, we turned our world upside down. We donated our belongings, stored a few mementos, packed a couple of suitcases and sold our home. Then we set out to see the world. Nine months into our roving retirement, we’re discovering interesting new places, doing the Schengen Shuffle, and learning a little about off-season slow travel.
If you get butterflies when visiting new places, feel your pulse quicken while wandering around a strange city, and your soul stir when connecting with people from different backgrounds, then we’re writing this blog for you.
Pull up a chair, take a seat in the front row, and learn how we got here. Get the inside scoop about off-the-beaten-path destinations, learn from our vault of missteps and misadventures, and see the world as our travel companions. During our travels together we’ll introduce you to the people we meet, share pictures that show the diversity of our planet and explain what life is like as global nomads.
We hope our antics give a boost to dreary return to work Mondays (or any day really), but our true goal is to inspire. So don’t blame us if you find yourself wondering, If these two can do it, why can’t we?
